چکیده

Abstract The breathing pipe of a produced water storage tank in sulfide-containing natural gas station is prone to deposit formation, which leads pipeline blockage. In this study, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and diffraction (XRD) analyses the show that composed elemental sulfur corrosion scales ferrous polysulfide sulfate. Existing formation prediction models cannot predict environments. Herein, based on thermodynamic scale sulfur, polysulfide, sulfate are established. It found deposition increases with decreasing temperature tube. Corrosion precipitating corrosive higher activity $$\left[{\mathrm{Fe}}^{2+}\right]$$ Fe 2 + inner wall carried by gas. Consequently, easily deposited when products ferrous, sulfide, ions than solubility product constant. aforementioned applied scale, using chemical composition data TB101-X1 well. results consistent those actual analysis, verifies accuracy reliability models.

Study of Gas Environment Impacts on Volumetric Coal Matrix Changes

The Outburst can be defined as a sudden release of coal and rock accompanied by large quantities of gas into the underground coal mine workings which represents a major hazard in underground coal mines. Gas drainage has been proven to be successful in reducing outburst hazards by decreasing the in-situ gas pressure. One of aspect of gas drainage from coal seams is coal matrix volume changes. Cu...

Investigation of the Hydrate Formation Equilibrium Conditions of Natural Gas

One of the main problems in oil recovery via the gas injection is the formation of hydrates in thelines. In order to prevent the formation of hydrate in these lines, which leads to the blockage andsometimes explosion, at first, the equilibrium formation conditions must be determined and then toprevent its formation by changing the thermodynamic conditions or by adding the inhibitors. In thisres...

Density functional theory study on natural hydrophobicity of sulfide surfaces

Adsorption of water on sulfide surfaces and natural floatability of sulfide minerals were studied using density functional theory (DFT) method. All computational models were built in a vacuum environment to eliminate the effects of oxygen and other factors. H2O molecule prefers to stay with pyrite and sphalerite surfaces rather than water, whereas for galena, chalcocite, stibnite, and molybdeni...

Measurement of Mass Transfer Coefficients of Natural Gas Mixture during Gas Hydrate Formation

In this study, mass transfer coefficients (MTC’s) of natural gas components during hydrate formation are reported. This work is based on the assumption that the transport of gas molecules from gas phase to aqueous phase is dominant among other resistances. Several experiments were conducted on a mixture of natural gas at different pressures and temperatures and the consumed gas was monitored an...
